Lymington II 214 all out
St Cross II 215-2
Lymington traveled to the idyllic setting of St Cross with a sense of optimism after the comprehensive defeat of Ryde the previous week. On winning the toss Ollie Kelly had no hesitation in batting first. Drew Robinson played some crisp drives before falling for 29 as Lymington scored quickly but lost wickets regularly. The run out of Conor Moors for 49 led to Lymington falling to 160-7 with 12 overs remaining. Adie Hunt (31) in partnerships with Guy Layman and Joel Sutherland pushed to score up to 214 before Lymington were all out in the last over.
Debutant Hakim Peruzi opened the bowling with Guy Layman as Lymington struggled to make an early breakthrough. Peruzi finally took the first wicket with the score on 56 but Lymington’s only other wicket came via a run out as St Cross coasted to victory by 8 wickets with 3 overs left.
