Langley Manor 110 for 9 in 20 overs
Lymington 113 for 4 in 15.3 overs
With the weather not looking good and the forecast even worse Lymington T20/20 captain Ed Ellis won the toss at the beautiful Knellers Lane Ground in Totton and elected to field.
Lymington opening bowlers were Simon Beetham (4 overs 3 for 20) and debutant from Totton & Eling CC Hakim Peruzi (4 overs 1 for 29) who made early breakthroughs including an excellent catch by former Lymington colt Jack Morris. They were replaced by off spinner Dominic Hand (4 overs 1 for 14) followed by sixteen year old Asa Drodge (4 overs 1 for 29) and off spinner Adie Hunt (4 overs 2 for 15). Hakim Peruzi took 2 catches in the deep and the fielding by Lymington was first class with Josh Bowring and Adam Beetham doing well. After 20 overs the Langley Manor score reached 110 for 9 with former Lymington player Nick Jenkin (27 not out).
In reply Lymington opened with Ben Rogers (63) and Dominic Hand (12) with the latter caught after an opening stand of 67. Hakim Peruzi (3) was also caught and Ed Ellis (17) was out lbw with the score on 96 for 3. Simon Beetham (6 not out) and Cameron Grierson (0 not out) saw Lymington home by 6 wickets in the 16th over.
The next round is on Sunday 3rd July and the draw will be made on Radio Solent
