Lymo U13A cruise to third win in a row
Lymington batted first and raced off with a flurry of boundaries from Josh Royan 33 followed by further contributions from Cam Hawkins 13, Oscar Marshall 21 and Ted Ward 31 pushing Lymington to 129-8 in their allotted overs. Harry Davies was the pick of the New Milton bowling with 3-16. New Milton were well led by Captain Joseph Wooster in the field who capped this with an outstanding catch late in the innings but they would be left to rue a number of dropped catches in the Lymington innings.
The New Milton response never got going due to some accurate Lymington bowling, excellent and enthusiastic fielding and intelligent field positioning from Captain Josh Royan, it was really an outstanding performance in the field by Lymington.
Lymington used 8 bowlers, keeping New Milton to 75-6 in their 18 overs, Jess Pritchett top scoring with 16 towards the end of the innings. Jamie Mass, Will Usher and Oscar Marshall although not taking wickets all went for less than 10 runs in their two overs, the wickets fell to Cam Hawkins 3-5, Morgan Floyd 1-9 and Louis Tollerfield 1-14
A great evening for cricket and a great all round performance by Lymington.
