Lymo U/15’s remain unbeaten
A wonderful sunny Sunday morning saw Lymo travelling to Bashley with a much changed team from the week before.
Lymo elected to field first under Charlie Hampton’s captaincy and kept a young Bashley team to 114-6 in their 18 overs, the Lymo bowling was a little wayward and the 25 wides were the top score. However, Lymo fielded well with a number of excellent catches from Mason Barrett and George Gowar in particular. The pick of the bowlers were the spin twins Jude Tollerfield (1-14) and Jason Walbank (1-11) who stemmed the flow of runs, ably supported by George Gowar (2-12) and Jamie Maas (1-16).
The Lymo openers put on 54 for the first wicket thanks to Thomas Sykes 40 retired and Charlie Hampton 19 this was followed by an excellent 29 not out for Jensen Lightfoot guiding Lymo home in the 17th over.
Mention must be made to Aaron Jeffries and Thomas Sykes who rushed from school to play and to Louis Tollerfield and Jamie Maas who stepped up from the U13s at the last minute to give us an 11.
